Speaker: Chris Rippey March 18th at 12:00 pm CST Description: There are several regional tree failure databases that exist in the United states. These databases document tree structural failures to gather enough data so tree species failure profiles can be authored to be used in tree risk assessments and writing pruning prescriptions. Throughout my career I have submitted thousands of tree failure reports for the Pacific North-West Tree Failure Database and the Wester Tree Failure Database. I have also created the Pacific North-West and the fledgling Mid-Western Tree Failure Database. This talk with discuss how working with these databases has furthered my career and how you can help me collect data for the Mid-Western Tree Failure Database and what my aims are for that database.
